Bushfire Ready Australia is an independent initiative focused on helping people better understand bushfire risk and the practical options available to prepare their properties.
We are building a growing knowledge base bringing together bushfire research, practical experience, available countermeasures and real-world demonstrations.
Our demonstration property at Whittlesea provides somewhere to explore ideas, demonstrate different approaches and run small-group workshops.
We don't believe there is one product or one solution that makes a property bushfire ready. Good preparation starts with understanding the threats, identifying vulnerabilities and considering appropriate countermeasures.
